PLAY RESPONSIBLY
21+ only. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call or text 1-800-GAMBLER for free, confidential help, any time.
Keep it fun
- Treat poker and betting as entertainment you pay for, not a way to make money.
- Set a budget and a time limit before you start, and stop when you reach them.
- Only play with money you can afford to lose. Never borrow to gamble.
- Don't chase losses or play to escape stress, boredom or other problems.
- Take breaks, and avoid playing after drinking.
Warning signs
- Spending more money or time than you meant to, or needing bigger stakes to feel the same.
- Hiding how much you play, or lying about it.
- Gambling to win back losses, or to pay bills or debts.
- Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut back.
- Gambling getting in the way of work, family or relationships.

Tools that help
Most states run self-exclusion programs that ban you from casinos or online betting for a set time, and licensed sportsbooks let you set deposit, time and loss limits or take a break. Ask the casino or check your state gaming regulator's site.
